bullet Visit colleges (if possible), participate in group information sessions, interviews, and tours.  Ask questions and note observations.

bullet Read, read, read! Find a variety of resources to improve your vocabulary.
bullet Review any test booklets to spot and improve weaknesses.

 

bullet Receive applications.
bullet One or two initial campus interviews. (Schedule in advance.)
bullet Get a job

Late Summer

bullet Plan itinerary of fall visits to colleges and schedule interviews.  Find out about bus trips set up by colleges.

bullet Attend college nights and school visits by college representatives.
bullet Discuss plans with counselor.
bullet Thorough college visits.
bullet October SAT (some states).
bullet November SAT and Achievements.
bullet Review transcript with counselor, and discuss selectivity of college choices.
